These slender, peppery orbs were commonly served for breakfast in American colonial times by the New York Dutch who enjoyed them poached in butter. We like to also use them in crudités or salads.
Don't throw out the tops either! Radish tops are totally edible and have a pleasantly peppery, slightly bitter flavor. Sauté them with garlic, blend into pesto, or add them to soups and sauces.
